Google Keep: Android Notes Synchronized

Image of Google KeepIn its continuing bid to seduce users with free, handy apps, Google recently released “Google Keep,” a note-taking service targeted at Android users who also use Google Drive. (Google Drive, in case you don’t know, is Google’s cloud-storage and web-based application system, where you can save attachments, edit documents, spreadsheets, and more.)

Cnet hasĀ put together a handy overview of Google Keep, covering the major features and how it works. It’s definitely worth investigating if you’re a heavy Google products user with an Android smartphone.

Some of the more enticing features include:

  • Create a voice memo by tapping on the microphone. All memos are instantly transcribed, keeping both the audio and text in the note.
  • Add a photo as a note by tapping on the camera.

Will it replace Remember the Milk or Evernote? Probably not yet. We assume Google will expand Keep in the coming months. It’s definitely one to watch.
