InstagramWhen Facebook purchased Instagram for a record-breaking $1 Billon in 2012, there were still many people who had yet to use (or even hear of) the popular app. Now the odds are you or someone you know shares photos using Instagram and Facebook every day. Facebook’s purchase of Instagram sent a powerful message to those paying attention: Instagram wasn’t just a photo sharing platform… it was a social network in itself.

We all know that listing photos are vital for marketing listings online. It would stand to reason that Instagram should have some role in the arsenal of tools available to a tech-savvy real estate agent. Designed for mobile (both on iOS and Android), stacked with special effects to enhance or stylishly present photos, and created for easy social sharing, Instagram is a great tool for presenting homes, neighborhoods, local businesses, and the vibrant social life of a neighborhood or city.
