Quora: Can I Get a Little Good Advice?

Image of Quora logoThere are times when Googling around for an answer to a question simply won’t do. While Google produces incredible search results, often you may be left with questions about the authority of the result, or if the search giant understood your question correctly. For those times, a little human input can be helpful. But where do you turn if you don’t have an expert on hand?

Quora, “a question-and-answer website created, edited and organized by its community of users” (Wikipedia) aims to fill that need, billing itself as “your best source for knowledge.” The site promises: “Ask any question, get real answers from people with first hand experience, and blog about what you know.”

One of the interesting things about Quora how it provides you with the opportunity to share you knowledge with others as well. Knowledge posted on the site is voted up or down by the community, and the most helpful answers rise to the top for a given question.

While the site has a bit of a tech-centric perspective, it is not exclusively focused on tech or tech company concerns. Once you’ve joined, be sure to check out the search results for real estate. (Who knows, maybe you can contribute! Hint, hint!)

It’s free to join, and you can even sign up using your Facebook or Twitter account.
